How you guys been?

Imal are you still raiding on that other server with kath?

Sep! what are you up to these days?

Hey Morg and knuckles!

I just recently *came back*. I sold my character to a guy for like $600. and just this month i looked him up on Armory. Long story short the guy gave me narko back so I'm playing on Gorgonnash still. In a 10man DS raid that's pretty meh in <ten man wolfpack> Haven't downed deathwing or anything yet, but it's only our second week of raiding.

Probably going back to iraq soon as a private contracter again.

Anyone still talk to Stab or Reckface. What are they up to these days?

Kath never transferred; he quit the game when he moved for school iirc.

But yeah, Zuli & I were playing on the same server we transferred to after Umbral. Both of us just unsubscribed and are officially done as of April 1. I haven't been raiding much at all for the last several weeks because of my new job (hours not really compatible with consistently being on-time) as well as taking French classes and Zuli (after changing from his priest to his kitty druid several months ago) just got tired of the same old shit. Neither of us find the game very fun and had only been showing up to raid because we like our GM. I will say, not having to show up for raids 4 nights a week after so many years is pretty damn amazing!

Things are going pretty well. I've got a new job that's awesome (finally) and the house was finished and we were able to move back in last summer.

Stab is still on the forums periodically. I haven't seen/chatted with Reckface in a long time. I know he and Jess transferred to a different server, but I think they both ended up quitting after a few months and I don't know if they came back for Cata.

That's awesome that you were able to get Narko back! What do you think of DS so far? I have to admit I'm not terribly impressed with this tier.

Going back to Iraq as a private contractor? How many times does that make for you now?

The good news is TOR sucked.

The bad news is they got over $1500 from the lot of us combined.

Fuckers.

Hey Imal.

DS is definattely interesting. The LFR version is disgustingly easy. I would rather see them just give out free gear than destroy an epic raid. Normal version is pretty fun so far. Like I said the guild i'm in isn't awesome or anything.

Yeah it is nice to have narko back. But i'm already at the point where I could just log in on raid days and have nothing else to do for the rest of the week. 90% of the factions aren't worth grinding cause they give out 359 or 365 gear, which is easily replaced by some 15 min repeatable heroics.

Overall, i'd say that the game has gotten retarded easy. Didn't think it would get any easier though.

Trangmog is awesome though.

Yeah back to Iraq (soon as i find another job) This will be my third time. I just need to find a company that won't lie to me before i take the job.

I never bothered to do LFR. Nice idea in theory, but I just didn't care enough to do it in addition to raid. All the changes have just made the game progressively easier. I'm waiting for Blizzard to implement a legendary that you get by farming 100,000 plots of herbs or some such nonsense. I liked the idea of transmog, but I only kept gear that had sentimental value and most of that was miscellaneous trinkets or weapons, and I didn't want to take the time to farm the gear for a new (old) set.

3rd time? Holy shit! I forget, what do you do that you get contracted to go back out there?

Yeah don't do LFR you'll cry at how easy it is. It's basically entirely tank and spank. Like on ultraxion you don't even need to use the special ability, you just take the hit lul.

I did security with Triple Canopy for a while. And more recently i ran an operations center in Baghdad with Six3. I basically collected intelligence and information about incidents to make briefs for a 3 star Generals morning brief.

That sounds both crazy and awesome (aside from the potential for injury) all at the same time. How did the last(?) company lie to you before you took the job?

Well The first company was the one i packed up my entire house for, quit school for, etc. I was under the impression it would be for 1 year. I signed a 1 year "at-will" contract.

I get there and the contract only had 2 months left....

Plus they didn't reimburse me for baggage they mistakenly said i could bring, and I paid 1,200 for it.

Well I don't know if i'd say it's gainful. It's tough to find a job and either stick with it or stay employed between contracts ending. Only so much 12 hour work days, 7 days a week you can handle.

Good to hear from ya.

Still going to university, should have my diploma in biochemistry next year, then 2 years in pharmaceutical research. Anyways, I'm not so much into video games anymore, I tried Cataclysm, got my rogue to 85 and some epics in like a week of free trial (got carried by friends in Influence :>). Now I only play DOTA 2 once in a hwhile (like 60 games in 2+ months).

Anyways, can't wait to be done with school, I'm planning a roadtrip this summer on the american west coast (like 1 month) still deciding if I'm gonna buy a cheap car I'll prolly dump somewhere in the US or hitchhiking. Any suggestions?

Pretty sure I'm losing my english from not chilling with you guys on vent.

Ps. If you go back to Iraq, protect ya neck this time

I would advise against hitchhiking, but I think you could use bus travel to have a good time if you didn't want the hassle of getting a car.
