Cuz people be nucking futs. Hitchhiking is inherently dangerous, because you're locking yourself in with a random stranger and you'll have no control on where you're actually going. It's not really worth the risk when you can just shell out $20-50 for a bus ticket and get wherever you're going.

basically what agayek said, hitchhiking in the usa has a history of being a very rebellious thing to do and also is held with a romantic vision of the beats and hippies exploring the country. unfortunately those days ended with the 60s. if you hitchhike you are basically rolling the dice, it used to be accepted as a way to get around but not so much anymore.

Eh, I hitchhiked alot all across Europe (from France to Russia), same goes in Canada.

So doing a huge necro on this thread btw.

I can't log into my account (Reckface) cause I guess I don't know my password and I guess the Forgot Password shit doesn't work.

Anyway, Morgan (Jess) and I are married now (2 year anniversary is coming up in May) and we moved from Cali to Texas together in 2013. May will also be our 8th anniversary of being a couple. Time flies eh? We have a 1 year old Siberian Husky that is too much work as well.

We still play WoW (somewhat). When we transferred, we got server first LK 25 on Darkspear but ended quitting back in Cata cause FL sucked. When we came back about 25-30% on Dragon Soul stacks, we started our own guild, Friend Zone. When MoP came out, we actually started getting good and took over server first in ToT and for Siege as well. We ended like 56th in the US for 25man guilds. Not bad. We still run the same guild on the same server and are currently working on Mythic Archimonde, still server first, hovering around the US 150 range.
Slight note, we actually merged guilds back in HOF/TOES/MSV with the a lot of people from Epidemic/Rawgrlrlrlrlg whatever from Alliance side. We actually currently live with Sequence (Hunter) and one of Morgan's friends that she has been friends with for over a decade with. We went to 2014 Blizzcon and met a lot of them as well. Fun times.
